Errors

Errors use standard HTTP status codes and a JSON body with a human-readable message:

Status	Meaning	What to do
`400`	The request is malformed (for example an invalid cursor).	Fix the request.
`401`	The API key is missing or invalid, revoked or expired.	Check the key pair; see Authentication.
`403`	The key lacks the scope this endpoint needs.	Use a key with the right scope.
`404`	The endpoint or item doesn’t exist (or isn’t your organisation’s).	Check the path and IDs.
`429`	Too many requests.	Wait for the `Retry-After` seconds, then retry; see Rate limits.
`500`, `503`	Something went wrong on our side.	Retry with exponential backoff.

Messages are meant for developers and may change; branch on the status code, not the text.
